Hints on Customizing
During the time I've been making ornaments, I've tried many, many color combinations. The final look is never predictable, as some color pigments blend differently with others. I've found that the best thing is to just give it a try and see what happens! I can give you a few ideas and suggestions, but the final decision is yours as to color combinations. If I feel a combination is not working well together, I will contact you as to our next step. I will not sell any ornament that doesn't meet my standards and that should guarantee you satisfaction with the final product! I hope the information below will give you some helpful hints and ideas! Be sure to keep checking the "Ornaments" section of the website for new color combinations!

Colors
I suggest using colors that are of the same type of pigment. I don't recommend mixing a pearl or metallic color with a matte color or combining more than 3 colors. Choosing a light color, like an ivory or white and a dark, contrasting color like ultra blue (seen above) or deep purple, produces a nice marbling effect. Recently, I started doing some pastels (light pinks, greens, yellows) combined with a cream color. These colors seem to work well together. But, as I said before, we can try any combination and go from there! To order your ornament, go to the order form and specify the exact colors you would like. Please feel free to email or mail me a picture or color sample. Anything that would help me attain the correct color or colors! I'm hoping to have a color chart on my site very soon!
Special Occasions
The one thing I try to stress is that these ornaments are for ANY occasion, not just to hang on the Christmas tree! Of course, they look beautiful on the tree and I have a customer who buys a dozen each year, with the goal of having her whole tree decorated with them! But, by offering stands* to display these ornaments, you can create a beautiful gift for someone (or yourself) that can be admired all year long! I have created ornaments for high school graduations, combining the school colors and then personalizing the ornament with the school name and year. I have created an ornament that is light blue and white pearl and it was given to a couple who had just had a baby boy. This ornament was personalized with the baby's name and date of birth. Another example was a customer purchasing an ornament that matched her daughter's decor in her new home! We personalized it with "First Christmas in Your New Home 2002". Give an ornament as a wedding gift, made with the colors of their bridal party. Or, as a birthday gift, created with the color of their birthstone plus white or ivory. Be sure to be specific and double check your information on the order form.
*Display stands are only available with an ornament purchase and are NOT sold separately
Personalization
For personalizing, I use a paint pen to write on the outside of the ornament. I am an accomplished Calligrapher, so you are guaranteed the writing will be professional and artistic. Years, names, school names, "Congratulations", "Happy Birthday", or any other information you would like, provided it will fit on the ornament! Recently, I did an all gold ornament and personalized it with "50th Anniversary". The colors I have available in the paint pens are gold, white, red and blue. I find that for the most part, the gold or white is really the best choice, but again, the final decision is yours! Please be sure to specify on the order form in the "Personalization" box, which color paint pen you would prefer I use.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me by email or phone and I will respond as soon as possible. I will strive to make an ornament that is exactly what you want and will work with you to make it perfect! Please be aware that I am a one-woman operation, and unless I have a specific ornament in stock, it will take approximately 2 weeks for full production. This allows the paint to dry completely before being shipped. In summer months, the time is cut about in half. I do keep many color combinations in stock, so you will be informed when you place the order if the ornament is in stock or if it will have to be produced.
