Bruce D. McLean
Bruce holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Maine as well as a MS degree in Management Information Systems from Lesley School of Business in Cambridge Massachusetts. Additionally, Bruce has over 9 years of military leadership experience serving as a Captain in the US Air Force. Bruce held a Top Secret/SBI Cat 6 and 10 clearance through the Department of Defense.
Bruce also brings many unique skills and knowledge sets to the organization. He has served 5 years as the Executive Director of Economic Development in the Katahdin Region of Maine.. As director of economic development, Bruce has gained invaluable insight into the various State and Federal resources available to assist small businesses. He is excellent at connecting the dots to create unique solutions to every problem he faces. Bruce was elected to the Millinocket Town Council in 2005 and is currently serving his first 3 year term.
Bruce's main area of interest is alternative energy applications. He has worked on projects such as biomass cogeneration projects, bio-diesel, and several energy product startup businesses. He is currently working on Ethanol, landfill to methane and several biomass projects in the New England region.
Additionally, Bruce serves on the board of the Maine Rural Partners and is an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Maine Community College.
